As a proud member of Grupo Bimbo, Canada Bread supports the company’s global Sustainability platform. There are four key focus areas that we support through our platform:
We aim to provide a great place to work and a collaborative environment where our associates bring our purpose, mission, vision, beliefs and capabilities to life every day.
We support the communities that we live and work in through volunteerism and charitable donations focused on physical activity, education and the environment.
We do what's right in our business to encourage sustainability and preserve our planet.
We strive to make nutritious and delicious baked goods and snacks to help our consumers and associates achieve healthy lifestyles.
Good Neighbour Program
This program aims to make a difference in the communities that we live and work in. The Good Neighbour program focuses on three of the four key areas of focus of our Sustainability platform: Community, Wellness and Planet.
All of our bakeries and sales centres are assigned a budget for our associates to execute a community improvement project within 15-kilometres of the facility. Every year, we expect to complete a wide variety of more than 25 community improvement programs across the country.

Volunteering is another way that our associates can give back to their community. Most charitable organizations rely heavily on volunteers to meet the needs of the people they serve. We encourage our associates to get involved in their communities through our various corporate-sponsored volunteer program.
Corporate Matching Program
We are a proud supporter of the United Way through a payroll deduction program for associate contributions and our Corporate Matching program.
We believe in limiting our carbon footprint through the reduction of waste. We are pleased to donate product with limited shelf-life and excess product production to help those in need. We have also established a program to help support our local food banks.
