TORONTO, Ontario - August 30, 2016 – Canada Bread Company, Limited is making smart snacking easier with the launch of Sanissimo Salmas, a revolutionary new cracker that is a simple snack on its own or part of a delicious meal.  Available now, these wholesome gluten-free crackers are made with non-GMO whole-grain corn flour, oven-baked and do not contain any artificial flavours or colours, sugars or trans-fats.

“Canadians have told us that they want snacking options made with wholesome ingredients, but they don’t want to sacrifice on taste,” said Talia Lysiak, Director, Marketing, Canada Bread.  “With a light and crispy texture and made with only four ingredients, Sanissimo Salmas are just that.  They taste great and are ideal as a midday snack with your favourite dip or topping so you can Feel Sanissimo Good.”

Crafted from a simple recipe of four ingredients, Sanissimo Salmas crackers contain non-GMO whole grain corn flour, salt, hydrated lime for flavour and tocopherols, a plant sourced ingredient to maintain crispiness.  Each three cracker portion contains only 70 calories and zero trans-fat.  Each box contains eight individual portions of 3 crackers per box.  The packaging is also environmentally responsible as the box is made with 100% recycled fibres, vegetable-based inks and is recyclable, where facilities exist.

Sanissimo Salmas are available in the dips and spreads section at mass market retailers including Sobeys, Metro, FreshCo, Fortinos, Foodland, Highland Farms, Coppas and Rabba in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces at a suggested retail price of $3.99 to $4.29.
